Kolorádó Festival is quite a youngster on the local music scene as this will be the fourth time that the event is organized amidst the picturesque setting of the Buda-hills. It is hugely popular among the younger generation as it offers an exeptional possibility to discover the inner nomad and enjoy fun programs and cool music in the heart of the forest.
Despite of the special setting, getting there is not so complicated as you might think, as the Kolorado Bus takes you right to the festival running every 10 minutes from Hűvösvölgy tram terminal. The Festival aims at offering a diverse program to visitors, ranging from outdoor activities and games to theatre performances. But of course there is a special emphasis on music, and this year the line-up is really impressive: besides the créme-de-la-créme of the Hungarian alternative music scene it includes various exciting international bands like the American Kurt Vile & The Violators, the Nigerian Femi Kuti & The Positive Force, the Russian Anastasia Kristensen, the French Sentimental Rave, or the Belgian Cocaine Piss. Dancing doesn't stop at midnight, as distinguished Dj-s provide colorful sets for the fans of electronica every day until dawn.
