Valley of Arts Festival

Kapolcs, Taliándörögd, Vigántpetend, 19 July 2019 - 28 July 2019
The 29th Valley of Arts Festival welcomes visitors in the beautiful region of the Balaton-felvidék. This is the largest multi-arts event in Hungary taking place in three picturesque neighboring villages: Kapolcs, Taliándörögd and Vigántpetend, providing a peerless venue for undisturbed recreation in the embrace of the Balaton Highlands.
The festival opens on the 21 July and continues until the end of the month. Passes and tickets are available for 10, 5 or 3 days, and of course we can choose the one day ticket if we would like to get just a little taste of the Kapolcs-feeling. 'Csigabusz', the official Valley transportation runs between the villages all day. The programs are really divers, focusing mainly on Hungarian folklore and traditions but also opening towards other genres and styles. This year, beside the cream of Hungarian folk and pop-rock scene, the music line-up features international stars like Alice Francis, Amber Run, Kosheen, Boban Markovic Orkestar. As for the other genres: theatre performances, circus, exhibitions and dance workshops are also waiting for the public. Make sure not to miss the delicious local plates made with fresh natural ingredients from the villages.
