Budapest, TRIP Hajó, 14 November 2019 20:00
Soma Nove, the leader of acclaimed psych-rock band Middlemist Red has just released a cover album containing his favourite songs (mainly from the 60s) which one way or the other evoke the thrilling ambiance of an oldschool vampire film. Album launch gig on the waves of the Danube (TRIP boat).
Soma Nove is one of the great talents on the current Hungarian music scene. In spite of being so young his band 'Middlemist Red' is kind of a national treasure and also a rather successful 'export item'. To the audience's delight the frontman gives solo concerts from time to time, presenting his own songs and also his favorite tunes that continue to inspire him as an artist. During these solo sessions we often hear covers of iconic performers such as Johnny Cash, The Growlers or The Brothers Four. In 2018 Soma has also released an EP containing his unique versions of Hungarian folk songs. His characteristic singing style is a thrilling experience, delightful and chilling at the same time like a David Lynch movie. Now, together with his prominent musician friends they present his new cover album entitled 'The Night of the Vampire'at TRIP boat (1011 Budapest, 2. kikötő, Szilágyi Dezső tér).
