VIII. Budapest Fish Festival

Budapest, ELTE Lágymányosi Campus, 15 February 2020 - 16 February 2020
Healthy and delicious: fish should have an important role in our diet, but according to different surveys Hungarians still eat less than the European standard. Maybe this weekend at Pázmány Péter sétány (XI. district) we can catch up with the recommended quantity sampling all the delicious fish plates of the festival.
More than a hundred different fish plates, concerts, aquariums and fishing games await the attendees of the eighth Budapest Fish Festival. A usually less appreciated species, bream (we call it keszeg) will be in the focus, prepared as the Hungarians like it: sprinkled with some flour and paprika then fried in hot oil until it becomes crispy and delicious. And have you ever wondered what frogs taste like? Well, according to a culinary adventurous few, fried frog legs are real delicacies fit to be served on a king's table. You can decide whether it's true or not at this unique gastronomic event taking place this weekend near the Danube Bank at Pázmány Péter Sétány. Entrance is FREE!
