Bence Máté Exhibition

Budapest, Szent István Bazilika, 13 March 2019 - 31 March 2019
Best known as 'The Invisible Wildlife Photographer' he pioneered the one-way glass photography technique now popular among hide-based nature photographers around the world. In 2010, his image 'Marvel of Ants' won the prestigious Wildlife Photographer of the Year grand title, making him the only contestant to date to win the grand title prizes in both the young and adult categories of the competition.
Bence Máté is the 9th most famous Hungarian in the world. Now everyone can get an insight into the unique atmosphere of his pictures: at the big square in front of St. Stephen's Basilica a breathtaking collection of his work can be admired freely by all the passers-by, moreover, each photo has a QR code so those who would like to download the picture can do so freely and legally. The pieces show us an unknown world, as each animal behaves in a natural way, completely undisturbed by the photographer. We can be part of their private life for a moment, capturing some inimitable morsels of the beauty of our planet.
